Awards and Recognition Program!
The CFC Hawaii-Pacific recognizes the outstanding support and dedication from Federal Agencies, Units/Departments, and CFC volunteers during the 2019 campaign! We want to thank all federal employees who support the CFC campaign through our exciting Awards Program. We will be recognizing awardees during our recognition event in early 2020.
Recognizing your campaign team not only allows you to Show Some Love and thank them for all their hard work, but can also be used to improve moreale and foster team building within your office/unit.

CFC Hero Award
A CFC hero is a person who implemented a successful CFC campaign and went above and beyond the call of duty in service to the campaign. This recognition will be awarded to up to three outstanding key CFC campaign representatives (APO/UPO/Keyperson).
**Hero’s may be nominated by an agency head/commander, another CFC Key Volunteer, or self-nominated. Units/Departments must be a recognized entity under a Federal Agency/Command with its own unit code. The CFC Hawaii-Pacific award committee will nominate three CFC Hawaii-Pacific Hero Awardees to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for the opportunity to become a National CFC Hero.
CFC Innovator Award
Innovative activities can be in the areas of campaign administration/management, marketing, fundraising & incentive efforts and/or other innovations which display creativity and excellence during the 2019 CFC Campaign. Such as initiating new or improved methods of CFC awareness, method used for the education of donors, implementing a new technology while promoting CFC, conducting an innovative CFC activity/event, etc.
**Innovator’s may be nominated by an agency head/commander, another CFC Key Volunteer, or self-nominated. Units/Departments must be a recognized entity under a Federal Agency/Command with its own unit code. The CFC Hawaii-Pacific award committee will nominate up to three CFC Hawaii-Pacific Innovator Awardees to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for the opportunity to become a National CFC Innovator.
Agency of the Year Award
One Federal Agency or Command in each category will receive this award if they achieved great results in their campaign by utilizing innovative and creative means, getting key CFC volunteers involved, creating awareness, and showing leadership.
- Large Organizations: over 1,000 personnel
- Medium Organizations: 100-1,000 personnel
- Small Organizations: fewer than 100 personnel
**Agency of the Year may be nominated by an agency head/commander, another CFC Key Volunteer, or self-nominated. Units/Departments must be a recognized entity under a Federal Agency/Command with its own unit code. Each Federal Agency/Command may submit only one nomination form.
Agency Award **Tracked by the CFC Committee
The award is based on the population stated on the FIND form, online pledging results, and the end of campaign final giving report (all paper pledges must be submitted by January 17, 2020).
Award Certificates are presented to Federal Agencies the meets the following minimum requirements:
- 60% participation and $95 per capita = PLATINUM Award
- 55% participation and $90 per capita = GOLD Award
- 50% participation and $85 per capita = SILVER Award
- 45% participation and $80 per capita = BRONZE Award
Unit Impact Award **Responsibility of the Agency Project Officer
The Unit Impact Award honors and celebrates the collective generosity of the heroes serving in the Hawaii-Pacific. It recognizes the positive impact the millions of dollars pledged through this campaign will have on the lives of those in need around the world.
The Agency Project Officer (APO) is responsible for tracking each unit’s progress during the campaign and should be prepared to nominate units that have demonstrated a positive impact through the CFC via their campaign participation or engagement efforts for the CFC Hawaii-Pacific Impact Award. APOs will be asked to submit their recommendation for their top unit/units to the CFC committee after the campaign has ended.
Thousands of charities rely on the generous support of our donors each year to continue their mission in support of those in need. The CFC honors all donors that give through the CFC Hawaii-Pacific and recognize the extraordinary generosity of those who contribute $250 or more.
*All donors who qualify will recieve a donor gift. Donor gifts will be distributed by CFC representatives near the end of the 2019 CFC Hawaii-Pacific camaign.
